About
Andy Hague (trumpet/flugelhorn) is a central figure in Bristol’s vibrant jazz scene, known both as a performer and as organiser of weekly jazz venue The Be-Bop Club. Besides his jazz activities he has played on albums by Portishead and for theatre, tv and film productions. His quintet has appeared at many major jazz festivals including Cheltenham and Cambridge, Italy’s Rossini Festival and at Ronnie Scott’s in 2022 and 2023. They have recorded several national radio broadcasts and CDs.
Andy is also well known as a jazz educator, having taught under the banner of Bristol Jazz Workshops for over two decades and tutored for jazz summer schools/ residential weekends.
