Three fine instrumentalists from London: Mark Buckingham -Saxophones, Richard Sadler - Double Bass and Tom Gilchrist - Guitar. The Trio will be performing a selection of the timeless smooth classics of Paul Desmond, Stan Getz and the incomparable Ben Webster. Very cool classic jazz, quiet and supremely subtle.
Mark Buckingham has been a performing and recording artist for more than 35 years. He has played all over the UK in bands whose styles range from reggae, rock, post-punk, jazz/funk, soul and blues, and with well known names like the Groove Warriors and Kenji Suzuki and Dave Clayton from Simply Red.
His latest album was a homage to the wonderful music of Dave Brubeck and Paul Desmond. He is currently recording a celebration of the exciting sounds of Eric Dolphy.
Mark is also the leader of The MB Big Band which he created during lockdown when only professional musicians could gather…
